Xoxoday Plum supports full tier- and segment-based offer targeting, controlling visibility, locking, and eligibility of rewards based on loyalty layer attributes provided at runtime.
Xoxoday Plum gives program administrators complete control over which offers are visible, accessible, or locked for each member based on their loyalty tier or segment profile. A Platinum-tier member can see premium reward options that are hidden or locked for Bronze-tier members — all driven by attributes passed from your loyalty layer at the point of authentication. How tier-based visibility works When a member logs in, the loyalty layer passes tier and segment attributes — such as tier=Gold or segment=HighValue — to Xoxoday Plum. The platform evaluates these attributes against configured offer rules and renders only the relevant catalog for that member. Offers outside a member’s tier or segment are either hidden entirely or displayed as locked, depending on program configuration. Configuring segment eligibility rules Program managers define eligibility rules at the individual offer level. Each rule maps to one or more segment or tier values — a travel rewards bundle might be restricted to members in a Frequent_Traveler segment, while a wellness reward is available across all tiers. Rules can be stacked, meaning an offer can require both a minimum tier and a specific segment membership before it unlocks. Integration with your data systems Segment attributes typically originate in an HR or CRM system. When Xoxoday Plum is deployed alongside platforms like SAP SuccessFactors or Darwinbox, employee lifecycle events — such as a promotion or a tenure milestone — automatically update segment data, which in turn adjusts the offer catalog a member sees on their next login. No manual intervention is required once the data pipeline is configured. Why tier-differentiated offers drive engagement Tier-based offer differentiation is one of the strongest motivators in loyalty program design. When members understand that advancing to a higher tier unlocks a materially better reward catalog, the program creates a natural incentive to progress. Xoxoday Plum’s segment targeting extends this further, allowing non-tier dimensions — geography, business unit, or behavioral segment — to refine the catalog independently, supporting nuanced segmentation strategies across large member bases.
