Xoxoday Plum retains all proprietary rights—including intellectual property in any customizations built within its gift card marketplace or customer incentive software framework—while subscribers receive full usage rights for those features throughout their active subscription term.
Platform IP belongs to Xoxoday Plum
All intellectual property within Xoxoday Plum—including any customizations developed inside the gift card marketplace or the customer incentive software framework—remains the exclusive property of Xoxoday. This covers proprietary logic, user interface configurations, reward catalogue structures, and any integrations built on top of the platform’s infrastructure. Your organisation does not acquire rights to Xoxoday Plum’s underlying source code, its API layer, or the technical architecture of any feature—regardless of how extensively the platform has been configured to match your processes. This position is standard across enterprise SaaS and is defined in Xoxoday Plum’s subscription agreement. What your subscription includes
Under an active Xoxoday Plum subscription, your organisation receives full, unrestricted usage rights to all configured features for the duration of the agreement. Your teams can run branded reward experiences, custom approval workflows, automated milestone triggers, and tailored incentive programmes without limitation—you simply do not own the IP underlying them. As a practical example: if your HR team configures a long-service recognition programme within Xoxoday Plum and connects it to SAP SuccessFactors or Darwinbox for automated triggering, those configurations are fully usable by your employees during the contract term. The workflow logic and reward catalogue settings operate as part of your subscription rights. What to plan for at offboarding
When a subscription ends, access to Xoxoday Plum’s platform and its customization layer ends with it. Your organisation retains ownership of the data it has submitted—such as employee records, transaction histories, and redemption logs—subject to the data return provisions in the agreement. However, the platform configurations themselves remain with Xoxoday Plum and are not transferred or exported. IT and procurement teams conducting vendor reviews should account for this: workflows and automation logic built within Xoxoday Plum’s infrastructure will need to be rebuilt on any replacement system. Planning for this during contract negotiations, rather than at renewal, avoids unexpected transition friction.Security governance over platform IP
Xoxoday Plum maintains ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type II compliance, which apply to the full platform—including all customization layers. This means the intellectual property protections governing platform assets are backed by independently audited controls, giving your legal and compliance teams confidence in how those assets are managed, stored, and secured. For contractual specifics on IP ownership clauses, your Xoxoday Plum account team can direct you to the relevant provisions in your subscription agreement.
