Digital Wallet Support on Xoxoday Plum

Xoxoday Plum is fully compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. When a recipient’s device has one or more of these digital wallets configured and enabled, the payment integration detects them automatically and presents the relevant option at checkout — no manual setup required from the HR or program administrator. This support covers the full mobile experience. Employees and reward recipients can tap to pay using whichever wallet is active on their device: Apple Pay on eligible iOS hardware, Google Pay on Android devices with the wallet configured, and Samsung Pay on compatible Samsung devices.

How It Works in Practice

When a recipient accesses a reward or prepaid card through Xoxoday Plum, the payment interface checks which digital wallets are active on that device and surfaces them accordingly. The experience is seamless and device-native — recipients are not prompted to enter card details manually if a supported wallet is available. This matters most in high-frequency incentive programs. For example, an employee who receives a Xoxoday Plum reward for a performance milestone can open the experience on their Android phone and complete the redemption using Google Pay in a few seconds — biometric authentication included. The same flow works on iPhone with Apple Pay and on Samsung devices with Samsung Pay.

Availability and Compliance

Xoxoday Plum’s digital wallet support is fully compliant with the requirements of each wallet provider. Availability is determined by two conditions: the wallet must be enabled on the recipient’s device, and it must be available within the active payment integration for that deployment. Where both conditions are met, support is automatic. Program administrators running incentive programs through HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Darwinbox do not need to configure wallet support separately. It is built into the Xoxoday Plum payment layer and activates based on device capability and regional availability.

Security at the Point of Redemption

Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay all use tokenization to protect cardholder data, which complements Xoxoday Plum’s existing security posture — including ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications. Biometric authentication, whether Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN, is handled by the wallet itself, reducing fraud risk at the point of redemption without adding friction for the recipient.
