Empuls supports end-to-end customization of branding, award certificates, communications, reward catalogs, and platform nomenclature through an admin console that program administrators manage without engineering support.
Customization in Empuls is deep and self-service. Every organization brings different branding requirements, reward philosophies, and employee demographics. Empuls is built to accommodate that variance without requiring custom development for every change. A dedicated implementation team works with program owners to map customization needs against location, platform function, and employee population before launch. Brand identity is fully configurable. Administrators apply company colors to menus, text, and backgrounds, upload a custom favicon, and replace default award images and icons with assets that match the organization’s visual identity. Employees see a recognition experience that looks and feels like an extension of their company culture, not a generic third-party tool. All platform communications can be edited. Notification templates, email copy, and bot messages are configurable. Organizations using Slack or Microsoft Teams can customize the bot persona—including its name and tone—to match how they communicate internally. The program name itself, group names, and all key labels visible to employees are set by administrators, not hardcoded defaults. Award and certificate designs are customizable. Organizations configure specific award types tied to their organizational values, define nomination levels, and set the occasions that trigger recognition—such as work anniversaries, peer nominations, or milestone achievements. Certificates reflect the award name, company brand, and any custom messaging the program requires. Reward catalog configuration is available at the location level. For organizations operating across multiple geographies, Empuls supports location-specific reward configurations. The brands, gift card options, and merchandise available in the redemption catalog can be curated per region. Campaigns and contests can also be scoped to specific employee populations or locations, giving program owners precise control over who sees what. Program administrators manage all configuration through the Empuls admin console. This includes reward structures, user segmentation, and communication settings. Organizations using Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Darwinbox for HRIS data can map employee subsets directly to recognition programs, ensuring the right awards reach the right people. Xoxoday Empuls’s customer success team provides administrator training, and support remains available on an ongoing basis for configuration assistance. Learn more: Empuls Help Centre — Communication
