Loyalty rules are fully configurable through the platform administrative console without requiring code changes or development effort. Earn rates: Programme administrators define earn rules specifying the number of points awarded per unit of spend, per transaction type, per merchant category, or per product. Earn rates can be flat, tiered, or percentage-based. Multiple earn rules can operate concurrently, with priority and stacking logic defined by the administrator. Caps: The rule engine supports configurable caps on points accrual at the transaction level, daily level, weekly level, or programme-period level. Caps can be applied globally or to specific earn rules, segments, or campaigns. Expiry: Points expiry policies are configurable, supporting fixed-date expiry (e.g., all points expire on 31 December), rolling expiry (e.g., points expire 12 months after accrual), activity-based expiry (e.g., expiry clock resets on any qualifying transaction), or no-expiry models. Expiry rules can be differentiated by tier or segment. All rule changes take effect immediately upon activation and do not require system downtime or redeployment. The enterprise-grade rule engine provides a visual interface for building and testing rules before activation.
