Xoxoday Plum enables administrators and support agents to redeem loyalty points on behalf of active members directly through a storefront integration, supporting flexible, real-time loyalty fulfillment without requiring member-side action.

On-Behalf Redemption via Storefront

Xoxoday Plum supports on-behalf points redemption through its storefront integration, allowing administrators and support agents to complete loyalty redemptions for members without requiring those members to log in themselves. This is particularly valuable in high-touch service scenarios — for example, when a support team needs to assist a premium member in real time during a purchase or service interaction.

Member Eligibility

Only active members qualify for on-behalf redemption. If a member’s account is inactive or blocked, Xoxoday Plum restricts the redemption request at the storefront level. This keeps redemption controls consistent whether the action originates from the member or from an agent acting on their behalf.

Audit Logging and Compliance

Xoxoday Plum applies different audit treatment to on-behalf redemptions versus direct member redemptions. Direct redemptions are fully logged in the standard audit trail, supporting transparency for compliance programmes aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type II. On-behalf redemptions are not recorded in that same audit log, so administrators should factor this into reconciliation workflows and compliance reporting.

Email Notifications and Custom Communications

Automated redemption email notifications fire through Xoxoday Plum whenever a redemption occurs. If your organisation needs custom communications — branded receipts, confirmation messages, or downstream alerts — those must be configured and delivered at the storefront level. Xoxoday Plum handles the core redemption trigger; the storefront owns any additional messaging logic.

Reporting Filters

Xoxoday Plum provides two report filters that give program managers precise control over what they see. The Debit by On-Behalf Redemption filter excludes assisted redemptions, surfacing only self-service activity. The Debit by Redemption filter captures all redemption types — including on-behalf transactions — for a complete view of total points outflow. Using both together helps separate agent-assisted volume from organic member engagement.

Session Handling

Storefront sessions in Xoxoday Plum run independently of the main platform session. If a member’s portal session expires, the storefront redemption session remains active, preventing interruptions mid-transaction for both agents and members. For organisations connecting Xoxoday Plum to HRIS systems such as Darwinbox or SAP SuccessFactors, on-behalf storefront redemption can be incorporated into HR-managed loyalty workflows — enabling HR teams to facilitate point fulfillment directly alongside their existing people-management tools.
