Empuls deploys organization-wide in Microsoft Teams through the Admin Center Setup Policies, giving every employee access to recognition and rewards without a manual per-user install.
Xoxoday Empuls integrates natively with Microsoft Teams, letting employees send and receive recognition without leaving the tools they already use. The app operates in two modes: as a personal 1:1 chatbot in each employee’s individual space (Add to Me) and as a channel bot that broadcasts appreciations and award notifications to entire teams (Add to Team).

Installing Empuls for All Employees

To deploy Empuls across your entire organization, log in to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center and navigate to Teams Apps > Setup Policies. Open the Global (Org-wide default) policy—this controls what every user in your tenant sees by default. Under the Installed Apps section, click Add Apps and search for Empuls. Adding it here ensures the app is automatically present in every employee’s personal Teams space. To surface Empuls in the app bar and messaging extensions, repeat the process under the Pinned Apps section. Scroll to the bottom of the page and save. Once the policy applies, every employee in your Microsoft Teams instance has a live Empuls account accessible directly from Teams—no action required on their end.

Adding Empuls to Team Channels

Channel-level installation lets Empuls post award notifications and peer recognitions publicly, making recognition social and visible. In the Teams Admin Center, go to Teams Apps > Manage Apps, search for Empuls in the app table, and select the result. Click Add to Team to open a side panel where you select the channels you want to enable. For example, a company can add Empuls to channels like #general, #kudos, or department-specific spaces so that a manager sending a spot award in Empuls triggers an immediate Teams notification visible to the entire team. Recognition that might otherwise stay private becomes a shared moment that reinforces culture at scale.

Integration Scope

Empuls’s enterprise integration scope currently covers SSO, Oracle HCM, and Microsoft Teams. Support for additional HRIS and collaboration tools—including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Darwinbox—is available based on the requirements of your HR and IT teams. With these two Admin Center configurations complete, Empuls is live across your full Microsoft Teams environment: installed automatically for every employee and active in the channels where your people already collaborate.
