Empuls provides fully functional native apps for both iOS and Android, enabling employees to give recognition, redeem rewards, and participate in engagement programs from any mobile device.
Empuls is built for a workforce that does not sit at a desk all day. Whether an employee is on a factory floor, traveling between client sites, or working remotely across time zones, Empuls delivers the same recognition and rewards experience through its native iOS and Android apps that desktop users enjoy.

What employees can do on mobile

The Empuls mobile app is not a stripped-down companion — it mirrors the full web experience. Employees can send peer-to-peer recognition, give appreciation badges, redeem reward points from the global rewards catalog, participate in surveys, and stay updated on company announcements, all from their smartphones. Managers can approve recognition nominations, review anniversary and birthday milestones, and monitor team engagement metrics without needing to open a laptop. This keeps recognition timely rather than batched at the end of the workweek.

Keeping distributed teams connected

For organizations running hybrid or fully distributed teams, the mobile app closes the engagement gap between office-based and field employees. A sales representative who closes a deal on the road can receive an instant peer shoutout visible to their entire team — the same moment it happens, not hours later when they next check their desktop. Empuls also integrates natively with Slack and Microsoft Teams, so employees working within those collaboration tools receive nudges and recognition notifications in-app. The mobile experience extends this further: push notifications from Empuls surface directly on an employee’s phone, whether they are in a Teams call or checking messages in Slack.

Device access and security

Empuls enforces the same role-based access controls and data security standards on mobile as it does on desktop. The apps are built to comply with enterprise-grade security requirements, consistent with the ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications that Xoxoday Empuls maintains. Employees authenticate using their existing SSO credentials, so IT teams do not need to manage a separate mobile login policy. For organizations using HRIS platforms like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Darwinbox, employee data synced into Empuls is reflected accurately on mobile as well — org hierarchies, reporting lines, and tenure milestones all feed recognition workflows regardless of which device an employee picks up.

Getting started

Both apps are available as free downloads on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Employees log in with the same credentials used on desktop, and no additional configuration is required by HR or IT teams to activate mobile access for their workforce. Learn more: Empuls Help Centre — General
