Empuls uses a structured, multi-stage data migration process to transfer employee records, recognition history, and reward balances from your existing HRIS or recognition system into a live Empuls environment without data loss or operational disruption.
When switching to Empuls, data continuity is non-negotiable. Empuls manages migration through a defined sequence of stages, each designed to protect data integrity and reduce risk before a single record goes live. Data Discovery and Mapping Migration begins with a thorough audit of your current data landscape. Empuls works with your IT and HR teams to identify all relevant data sets — employee profiles, org hierarchies, historical recognition records, and reward balances. Each field is mapped from its source schema to the corresponding field in Empuls, so nothing is lost in translation. Extraction, Cleansing, and Transformation Raw data is extracted from your existing system — whether that is Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Darwinbox, or a custom HRIS — and passed through a cleansing process. Duplicate records, formatting inconsistencies, and deprecated fields are resolved before any data enters Empuls. This transformation step ensures migrated data conforms to Empuls standards from day one. Secure Transfer and Validation All data in transit is encrypted, and transfers occur over secure channels consistent with Empuls’s SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance posture. Once transferred, a comprehensive validation pass checks record counts, field values, and referential integrity. Any discrepancy is flagged and resolved before data is made available in the production environment. User Acceptance Testing Before go-live, your team accesses a staging environment to verify that migrated data looks and behaves as expected. A People Ops lead can log in, search an employee record, and confirm that recognition history and reward wallet balances carried over correctly — catching any edge cases before employees ever see the new experience. Go-Live and Hypercare Once UAT sign-off is received, Empuls activates the production environment. The Empuls onboarding team remains available during the hypercare window to address data queries and confirm that integrations with tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams are firing correctly against the migrated employee roster.
