Xoxoday Empuls supports both a social feed-based home page and a tile-based layout through its customizable Home Page feature, giving administrators full control over the first experience employees see when they log in.
The home page is the anchor of the Xoxoday Empuls experience. Because organisations differ in culture, size, and how actively employees participate in recognition programmes, Xoxoday Empuls provides two distinct layout modes so administrators can choose the interface that drives the most engagement for their workforce.

Social Feed-Based Home Page

The social feed layout presents a continuous, chronological stream of recognitions, announcements, and posts from across the organisation. Employees scroll through peer shoutouts, manager kudos, and company-wide milestones in a format similar to LinkedIn or a Slack channel—familiar enough to reduce friction and encourage spontaneous participation. Personalisation options such as content filters let each employee tune the feed to the teams or programmes most relevant to them, while custom branding keeps the experience consistent with the organisation’s visual identity. This layout is particularly effective for organisations in the early stages of a recognition programme, where visibility of peer activity is the primary lever for adoption. Seeing colleagues receive recognition in real time creates a social proof loop that encourages others to participate.

Tile-Based Home Page

For organisations that prefer a structured, dashboard-style interface, Xoxoday Empuls offers a tile-based home page through its customizable Home Page feature. Tiles surface key modules at a glance—reward balances, pending nominations, upcoming work anniversaries, active survey prompts, and more—without requiring employees to scroll through a feed to find what is relevant to them. This layout integrates cleanly with tools like Microsoft Teams and Slack. For example, an organisation using Darwinbox as its HRMS can configure Empuls to surface birthday and work-anniversary tiles alongside reward balance summaries, accessible directly within the Microsoft Teams interface. Employees get the information they need in seconds, which is critical in distributed or high-volume work environments where attention is limited.

Configuring the Layout

Administrators control layout selection through Empuls platform settings without any developer involvement. Branding elements—company colours, logos, and welcome banners—apply to both layout types, so the home page remains on-brand regardless of which configuration is active. Organisations can also switch between layouts or run a combination of tile and feed elements as their programme matures and employee preferences become clearer. Both options are available within the Empuls customizable Home Page feature. The choice between layouts does not affect underlying functionality; recognitions, announcements, surveys, and rewards operate identically in either mode. Learn more: Empuls Help Centre — General
