# Empuls' Enterprise Security and Integration Standards

## Security and Compliance Posture

Empuls is certified under **SOC 2 Type II** and **ISO 27001**, meaning its security controls are independently audited on an ongoing basis — not just at a point in time. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the platform maintains strict access controls to ensure that employee data is handled in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent regional frameworks.

For example, a 5,000-person enterprise running SAP SuccessFactors can configure Empuls to trigger a birthday reward automatically from the SuccessFactors employee record, without any manual intervention from HR.

## Communication and Productivity Tool Integrations

Empuls embeds recognition workflows into **Slack** and **Microsoft Teams**, so employees can give and receive recognition without leaving the tools they use every day. A peer recognition sent in a Slack channel appears simultaneously in the Empuls feed and contributes to the employee's rewards wallet — no context-switching, no separate app install.
